A PEMBROKE Dock man has finally realised his life-long ambition by being crowned a British champion.
Mathew Sawyer won the British Autograss Series class two category, clinching the title in Scunthorpe.
The 24-year-old, formerly of the Pembrokeshire Autograss Club, who now drives for the Forest of Dean, won the series by topping the table with the most points after brilliant drive in final round at Scunthorpe to clinch the title.
"He's been driving since the age of 12," said delighted mum Sharon. "Winning the British Autograss title means everything to him, and we're all so proud of him."
