Narberth 5

St Ishmaels 0

ROB Shipton bagged a brace as top of the table Narberth thrashed struggling St Ishmaels at Jesse Road.

The hosts only led by a single goal at half time, striker Shipton powering home a header in the 18th minute. But Tish conceded two early goals in the second period that put The Bluebirds out of sight. Justin Blewitt headed home for his side’s second goal. Four minutes later and Jordan Williams added a third following a goalmouth scramble.

Tony Evans was up ended in the box and he subsequently made no mistake with the resulting penalty for the fourth, and ten minutes from full time and Shipton scored again, cheekily chipping keeper Jonathan Pawlett to complete the rout.

This was The Bluebirds’ ninth win of the season, and they stay a point clear at the top of the summit, while it’s going to be long hard season for Tish, who are rock bottom with just three points.
