West Dragons 1
BOTH Neyland and West Dragons had to settle for a point apiece in this clash at the Athletic Ground.
The Dragons were happy to take an away point as they currently sit fifth in the table, as The Nomads are fifth from bottom.
All the goals were scored in the opening ten minutes, and both headers. The visitors opened their goal scoring account in the eighth minute. Ewan Cunningham passed to Bradley Hewitt, the latter flighted a cross in the box that Scott Crawford struck against the woodwork, but the striker was not be denied, quickly reacting to nod in the rebound.
But the visitors lead was short lived; with the next attack the Nomads were back on level terms. Patrick Bellerby’s excellent cross in the box was met by Paul Hannon’s thumping far post header.
Incredibly, both sides’ failed to find the back of the net again, and on the day a draw was definitely a fair result.
