Hakin United 4

TWO own goals gifted the champions Hakin United a comfortable victory at ten-man Saundersfoot Sports.

The Sports broke the deadlock in the 30th minute as striker Jack Franklin struck from the edge of the area, but within six minutes the Vikings equalised. Adam Davies drilled in a cross that Sports defender Paul Hodge toe-poke into his own net.

Ten minutes after half time and unfortunate centre back Russell Evans also put the ball into his own net, gifting The Vikings the lead.

On the 70 minute mark and James Stanmore drilled home the third, following excellent work by Ashley Bevan and Steve Mathias that carved out the scoring opportunity.

The hosts were reduced to ten men when referee Charles Davies sent Sports centre back Kevin Berry off for an early shower.

Ewan Findlay scored a rare goal for the fourth, latching onto Paul Jenkins’ corner and and the skipper neatly finishing at Ben Evans’ near post that secured the Vikings’ ninth win of the campaign.
