Pennar Robins 1

St Ishmaels 0

PHIL Thompson’s solitary second-half strike earned Pennar Robins a crucial win at home against fellow strugglers St Ishmaels.

Conditions made life hard for both teams as gale force winds and heavy rain did not help their cause.

The Robins move up to fourth from bottom, seven points ahead of second from bottom St Ishmaels, going into the two-week festive break.

The defining goal was scored in the 55th minute, Thompson curling a shot in the top corner, and it didn’t give goalkeeper Jonathan Pawlett an earthly of stopping.
