Gents
AFTER several Turkey Trots held the grand finale at Haverfordwest Golf Club, a ‘Christmas Voucher Trot’ teed off on blustery and showery conditions at Haverfordwest Golf Club.
There was a field of 92 players who made their way round the course to be greeted half way by Father Christmas, cunningly disguised as club captain Richard Mee ably assisted by vice captain Mike Thomas, distributing a welcome warming beverage.
The captain, at the presentation, firstly welcomed the new club administrator Mickey Dethrone and then thanked the green and bar staff, Fleur Davies catering, Alex Pile club professional and all the volunteers for their hard work throughout the year.
The winners were presented with vouchers.
Winners - Matthew Freeman and James Oulton 45pts
Runners-up- Timothy Parrett and Barry Griffiths 42pts
Third - Simon Harries and Ralph Sheen 42pts
The first draw of the ‘Find the Joker’ game then took place with Mickey Davies entry being drawn from the drum and winning £75. The Joker was not found. Good luck to all those entered for the New Year’s Eve draw.
Seniors
The seniors wrapped up their season with a Texas Scramble competition held at the club on December 19. Winners: Dick Cross, Mike Thomas, Tony Rayland and Bob Davies.
