NEARLY 50 children took part in the Pembrokeshire Schools disability swimming gala.
Pupils from Hook CP School, Pembroke Dock Community School, Ysgol Bro Gwaun, Ysgol Dewi Sant, and Portfield School competed in 23 races.
The event was held at Fishguard Leisure Centre and was sponsored by Stena Line.
It was organised by Sport Pembrokeshire in partnership with Disability Sport Wales (DSW).
Chris Davis, assistant swimming development officer for Pembrokeshire and head coach at the Pembrokeshire Puffins swimming club, was present to spot talented swimmers.
These swimmers will be invited to compete at a regional gala in Swansea in May, and it is hoped they might also join Pembrokeshire Puffins swimming club.
A number of pupils from Year 10 at Ysgol Bro Gwaun who are studying Physical Education GCSE - Elliott Colley, Zac Davies, Nia Evans, Katie Griffiths, Kirsty Williams, Keiron O’Conner and James Lewis - did a fantastic job as time keepers on the day and they also assisted Angela Miles in presenting all competitors with medals
