BRUCE Tasker will find out his Winter Olympic destiny in Sochi this weekend.

Tasker, originally from Manorbier, who attended Greenhill School is part of the four-man GB bobsleigh crew that is in the hunt for a medal this weekend.

As revealed by Telegraph Sport, pilot John Jackson and brakeman Joel Fearon, Stuart Benson and Tasker won World Cup silver in Lake Placid in December and followed it up with silver at the European Championships last month.

The team is in confident mood after training in Germany and arriving in Sochi this week and are determined to hit the ground running when the competition starts this Saturday.

Britain last won an Olympic medal in bobsleigh in 1998 when Sean Olsson’s crew took bronze in Nagano.
