Tenby 7

Fishguard Sports 1

TENBY were too strong all round for Division Two Fishguard Sports as they struck seven goals to cruise into the Senior Cup semis.

Tenby have never reached a Senior Cup final, but in this kind of scoring form they are going to take some stopping this season.

Mike Lewis’ team took an early lead in the tenth minute, Jordan Richards drilling a low shot in the far corner. Billy Vaughan doubled the lead with a fine edge of the box strike.

The Seasiders totally dominated the second period and scored five goals in a breath-taking 20-minute spell. Jerome Mansbridge added a third with low shot, brother Daryl added the fourth with a simple tap-in. Vaughan added the fifth with his second goal of the tie with an exquisite curler, Sam Christopher rounded the keeper for the sixth and he also made no mistake when he finished from a rebound.

Matthew Morgan added a late consolation effort for The Sports, and it was the first goal The Seasiders have conceded in seven games.
