FFOS Las Racecourse rounds off the biggest week in the jump racing calendar in 2014 on Sunday, March 16.

It’s ‘Super Irish Sunday’ – the eve of St Patrick Day – with live entertainment before and after racing from The Wild Murphy’s, the three-piece group who play a mix of traditional and not so traditional Irish music.

Many Irish visitors to Britain for the Cheltenham Festival may also drop in for another exciting day’s racing as they make their way home.

The Carmarthenshire racecourse has already been a stopping off point for horses from the Emerald Isle on their way to the National Hunt Festival.

Racing gets under way at 2.15pm and the feature race is the £10,000 Stradey Park Handicap Chase.

There is also racing at Ffos Las this month on Thursday 27th, but the next big race-day after Sunday is the ‘All About The Horse’ day on Sunday 6th April. The afternoon of jump racing is being held in conjunction with the Injured Jockeys Fund which was founded 50 years ago in 1964.
