Neyland 1

Narberth 2

NARBERTH kept their slender hopes of securing the title with a narrow victory at Neyland.

The Bluebirds are third in the table and they can’t afford to drop any points as they secured their 13th win of the season at the Athletic Ground.

Playing down the slope it was the Nomads who took an early lead when Paul Hannon found the bottom corner with a well executed direct edge of the box free kick.

The lead was short lived as the visitors equalised when player manager Matthew Price’s low shot rebounded off the post and Jordan Williams reacted quickest to plant to stab the ball home.

The visitors took the lead when they were awarded a penalty when Nomads’ defender Sean Hannon scythed down Price and Tony Evans made no mistake with the resulting spot-kick.

No further goals in the second half but stand-in Narberth keeper Adi Jones pulled off an outstanding stop to deny the Nomads equalising.
