PEMBROKESHIRE trained horse Teaforthree will line up at Aintree on the brink of history tomorrow.

The 10-year-old, trained by Rebecca Curtis of Dinas Cross, is 8-1 favourite to become the first Welsh trained winner of the Grand National since Kirkland won in 1905.

He will be ridden by Nick Scholfield, who rode him to a third placed finish in the same race last year, behind Auroras Encore (winner) and Cappa Bleu (runner up).

Curtis admitted to win the National would be an 'amazing' feeling.

“It is one of those races everybody wants to win," she said.

"But it’s difficult because every jockey, owner and trainer wants it so badly.

"Even as Teaforthree going in as favourite, it will be a hard, hard race and there is always a lot of luck involved.”

The Grand National race itself will being at 4.15pm, and will be shown live on Channel 4.
