NEYLAND and District Sea Anglers fished Pendine beach at the weekend.

The silt surf was running so flounders were expected, true to form there was plenty of them returned to the scales.

George Hawkridge, known as Kit-kat man took the honours with the heaviest bag which included four fine flounders and shore rockling, George also took the pool for the heaviest fish, a flounder of 1lb 4ozs his total bag was 4lbs 2ozs 8drams, in second spot again was Keith Williams, with his bag of 3lbs 2ozs also flounders and shore rockling, the junior prize went to Conner Williams, this is the second match on the trot Conner has won.

The club would like to thank the adjudicators on the day Bob South, Bernie Davies and George Hawkridge.

The next match is at Porthclais on Sunday, April 27, two rods three hooks fishing 1 pm till 7pm. Book in at noon till 12.15pm at the car park.
