Johnston (148 for 9) drew with Burton (122 for 7)

THE local derby between Johnston and Burton ended in a draw despite useful contributions for the homesters from the father and son duo of John and Lee Summons, who respectively contributed top score of 31 and best figures of 4 38.

Summons was joined by Liam Boswell (30) and Dan Sutton (22) in taking their side to a healthy 148 for 9 against Johnny Scale (4 for 44) Dan Ridge (2 for 28), James Davies (1 for 16) and Prasan Pulsarker (1 for 34).

Toby Hayman led the Burton response with an excellent 61, the talented teenager stroking nine fours and a six against Lee Summons and Simon Williams (2 for 21) but only Phil Sutton (18) and Rob Griffiths (22) stayed with him as Burton were forced to settle for a draw.
