Cresselly (140 for 2) beat Llanrhian (139 all out) by 8 wickets

LLANRHIAN arrived at Cresselly without a few key players and paid the price as Cresselly followed up a narrow win at Llanrhian on the opening day of the season with this comprehensive home success.

Richard Reed was the sole Llanrhian batsman to stay long as he batted really well for his 79 (11 fours) as only Luke Jones managed double figures in the rest of their batting line-up against the highly talented young Tom Murphy, who took home excellent figures of 5 for 14 alongside the more experienced medium pacer Stefan Jenkins (3 for 38).

Cresselly skipper Phil Williams opened with 19 and another talented teenager in Harry Thomas also departed early to leave Cresselly on 36 for 2 but from there on Matthew Morgan and Brad McDermott-Jenkins took complete control in an unbroken stand of 104.

Morgan had ten fours in his rock-solid 60 not out and McDermott-Jenkins smashed four big sixes and four fours in his unbeaten 53 to steer Cresselly home in double-quick time.
