ROSEMARKET Golf Club Captain Tony Deakin held his successful Captain’s day on Saturday.

The overall winner with an excellent 41pts was Matthew Hobbs. Seniors winner was Alan Bowsher with 34pts, runner-up was John Mclean (33pts), John C Davies came in third place (30pts) and Roger Scrimshaw fourth (29pts).

The Ladies winner was Ali McCormack with 35pts, runner-up was Marilyn Rawlings (26pts), with third was Jayne Morgan after beating Amber Deakin on count back with 25pts. Gents winner was John McKnight with 40pts, runner-up Alex Young (37pts), third was Paul McCarthy (35pts), beating Luke Young on count back. The Guest winner was Dai Wright of South Pembrokeshire Golf Club with 27pts, Sion Ace was runner-up (25pts), Rob Rogers third (19pts), beating Lawrence Davies on count back. Twos winners were John McLean and Jock Wilson (Hole 7), Scotty Martin (Hole 13). The longest drive went to Rob Pratt (Gents), John McLean (Seniors) and Jayne Morgan (Ladies). Guessing the scratches winners were Peter Morgan and Alex Scutt. Number of points scored winner was Adam Rogers.

The club thanked Tony for a great day and Danny and Tracey for the hospitality provided.

The A & V John Competition winners on Sunday were: Division 1 – Chris Llewellyn (36pts), runner-up Peter Morgan (31pts), third Mark McCormack (27pts). Division 2 – David Pink (35pts), runner-up Joe Drysdale (34pts), third Mark Lewis (33pts).

Junior winners: White tees - Tom Brown (41pts), runner up Luke Young, beating Harley Holmes on count back with 29pts. Fourth place went to Tom Strand (21pts). Yellow tees – Alex Young (29pts). Red tees – Michael Strand (25pts).
