HAVEN Angling Group held their latest match that was a rover, given the forecast for gales and heavy rain there was a very good turnout.
Fishing was rather difficult with conditions, but most anglers weighed in. Taking top spot for the second week running was Rhys Holmes, with a mixed bag including a nice smoothound; this victory gave him a big lead at the top of the points table.
In second, with the heaviest fish and fishing for the first time this year was Nicky Carter, with a strap conger. And another in form angler Lee James, finished third, with a bag weighing just under 4kgs.
Top lady was Sandra Thompson and there was a joint first between the top two juniors Olly Kucyj and Billy Williams.
This weekend the club is holding another roving competition.
