Pennar Robins 1-1 Johnston

A CONTENTIOUS late equaliser by Pennar Robins substitute Ross Lascelles salvaged a point against ten-man Johnston.

The Tigers were heading for three points as Phil Thompson latched onto a long through ball and the striker squared it to Lascelles who scored with a simple finish. Johnston claimed Thompson was a mile offside, but referee Paul Rooney waved play-on and the Robins equalised. Johnston defender Sion Price was then red carded for dissent as he protested too strongly.

The visitors took the lead in the 70th minute as striker Ryan Doyle was teed-up by substitute Jack Mills, Tigers also had an earlier Nick Davies’ goalbound shot cleared off the line by James Russell. Tigers keeper Joel Codd also pulled off a brilliant finger- tip save over the crossbar to deny Ben Steele.
