West Wales Intermediate Cup – quarter final
Team Swansea 2
Narberth 1
A LATE Declan Sheppard header earned Team Swansea University a place in the last four of the West Wales Intermediate Cup at the expense of Narberth.
On a cracking pitch, the hosts took the lead in the 20th minute, right sided midfielder John Roberts skipped past Justin Blewitt and Kyle Quartermaine before burying his shot in the far corner.
The visitors squared matters in the 35th minute, Morgan Preece released player boss Matthew Price who slotted past the out rushing keeper.
The home side were awarded a penalty in the 65th minute, Quartermaine committed a foul inside the box, but Roberts skied the spot-kick well over John Durbridge’s crossbar.
With just four minutes remaining the hosts grabbed the winner, Sheppard headed home at the far post from a corner and there was no coming back for the brave Bluebirds.
