CAPTAIN Adam Rogers held his successful Captain’s Day at Rosemarket Golf Club on Saturday.

The weather was on his side and there was an excellent turnout of over 80 golfers taking part.

Gents winner with 40pts was Paul Smith, runner up Jeff Moseley 37pts, third Alex Young 36pts, fourth Paul Jones 35pts beating Rob Pratt on count back.

Ladies winner with 39pts was Amber Deakin, runner up Alison McCormack 33pts, third Pam Moseley 29pts, fourth Kate Waldeis 27pts, fifth Jayne Morgan 24pts. Gents guest winner was Sam Parry 34pts, runner up Rob Rogers 33pts beating Ben John on count back, fourth was Mike Woods 32pts, fifth Matthew Rees 28pts. Ladies guest winner was Carole Roberts 38pts, runner up Anita Thomas, 31pts, third Caroline Allison 22pts, fourth Barbara Oaten 19pts.

Nearest the pin winner was Matthew Rees and nearest the line winner was Adam Reynolds. Twos winners were hole 7 Alan Bowsher, Geraint Hughes and Paul Jones. Hole 9 Frank Bradley and Mike Woods. Hole 18 Mike Butler.

Adam thanked everyone who helped with the preparations to make the day a success with special thanks to Jodi R and the Young family.

Ladies 9 hole stableford winner on Wednesday was Alison McCormack 19pts, runner up Marilyn Rawlings 18pts, third Rose Taylor, fourth Rita Evans and fifth Kate Waldeis.
