West Dragons 3
Merlins Bridge 2
SCOTT Crawford scored a late winner to earn West Dragons a deserved victory over their illustrious derby neighbours Merlins Bridge.
The Dragons have had a dream start to their campaign, winning three on the bounce, while the Wizards have lost three and are still awaiting their first points.
Jordan Thomas drilled home the opener from a half cleared corner in the 20th minute.
Both teams were reduced to ten-men as Dragons’ skipper Simon Ellis and Wizards’ Nathan Thomas were red carded by referee Paul Rooney.
Daniel Bryce added a second for The Dragons, but the Wizards clawed back the deficit with goals by Dai Davies and substitute Terry McCombe.
This derby looked to be heading for a draw, but Crawford struck from 12 yards to pinch victory and kept their The Dragons’ unbeaten record.
