Neyland 1-5 Goodwick United

League leaders Goodwick United proved too strong for Neyland, scoring five goals to march to victory and go six points clear.

With five out of seven games postponed due to waterlogged pitches, the visitors took full advantage to keep their impressive winning streak intact.

Anthony Couzens opened the scoring with barely a minute on the clock, the defender struck a low drive from 12 yards out in the bottom corner.

Five minutes later and Steff Williams, who has signed from Welsh Premier Haverfordwest County drilled home a second.

Nathan Warlow struck a right footed shot agonisingly wide for the Nomads, when really he should have scored, but on the 25 minute mark Kieran O’Brien looped a header over keeper Patrick Hannon from a Jonny Horgan cross that gave the visitors a three-goal cushion at the break.

The visitors added a fourth goal on the 70 minute mark, Rhys Dalling’s fierce shot was parried by Patrick Hannon, only for O’Brien to slot home the rebound for his second of the game.

Ten minutes from full time Rob Morgans drilled in a fifth, three minutes from the end the Nomads were awarded a penalty for handball inside the box. Up stepped Justin Harding who coolly slotted past James Gwilt.
