Fishguard RFC are holding a Natwest Rugby Force day on Saturday, August 13th - which also coincides with the Fishguard Round Table Soapbox Derby.
The purpose of the day, part of a UK-wide scheme, is to promote the good work done by volunteers whilst trying to encourage others to participate .
Fishguard RFC runs both a senior and youth team as well as around 10 other junior teams, all of which are managed by volunteers.
All the proceeds the club make get put back into the community for the purpose of developing grass roots rugby
The WRU CEO at present is Martyn Phillips, originally from the area.
"Martyn's success shows what a small club like ourselves can produce," said club secretary Lynne Harries.
"We are always on the look out for volunteers. Anyone can be a member for a very small fee and become part of a local community, even if they do not play rugby.
"We are also desperately looking for a trained first aid volunteer to work with the seniors during the 2016/17 and encourage anyone interested to get in touch."
