Division One (1.30pm):

Carew v Lawrenny

Despite their defeat to Cresselly two weeks ago, Carew remain in control in the title race, and hold a 17 point lead over their neighbours after hammering Johnston last week.

Tim Hicks goes in looking for a third consecutive half century, and the likes of Tom Davies, Max Brindley, Shaun Whitfield and Rhys Davies are all taking wickets on a weekly basis.

On paper, they should have too much all round strength for visitors Lawrenny - who hover just 16 points above the bottom of two. You feel they will need the likes of Brad McDermott-Jenkins to really fire big if they are to get a result here.

Haverfordwest v Cresselly

A crucial game, and one you feel The Town can ill afford to lose, or even come out the worse side of a draw.

They are 39 points off Carew, and recent draws against St Ishmaels and Neyland have held up their title ambitions.

But Cresselly have responded well to their defeat against Whitland with three straight league wins, and will turn up at The Racecourse high on confidence.

As ever with these two, with the likes of Simon Holliday, Adam James, Adam Chandler, Iwan Izzard to name but a few on show - there is the potential for fireworks with bat and ball.

Kilgetty v Neyland

You can't help but feel Neyland's season now hinges on their two respective cup semi finals, but they will still want to win here and climb from seventh spot.

Indeed, whether Sean Hannon's men have an eye on Monday's DR Morris game with Whitland remains to be seen - but Kilgetty, who gained a crucial win over Pembroke last week, will be keen to have a real go at them here and cement what has been a positive season back in the top flight thus far.

Neyland's top order have been all too guilty this season of not pushing on after getting starts - whilst for the home side, Ross Hardy is surely overdue a big Division One knock.

Pembroke v Whitland

In-form Whitland are creeping up on the top three - and seem to have a found a strength in depth this season they maybe lacked in recent years.

Last week it was the turns of Will Spreadbury and Iestyn Scourfield to shine with bat and ball, and they will be confident against a Pembroke team who are almost in the last chance saloon already.

They are 53 points from safety, yet to win, and will need more from the same of Barry Evans afer his five wicket haul last week.

St Ishmaels v Johnston

If Dan Sut.........ok, you know the rest.

Johnston suddenly have hope in their fight for survival, but as ever, they need the likely suspects of Sutton, Lee Summons, and Ross Dewstowe to come off with the bat or they are looking at another difficult day.

Tish have shown a real steel and resilience in recent weeks, with positive results againt Neyland and Haverfordwest backed up with a gritty draw at Whitland last weekend.

Andrew Pawlett has again proved one of the unsung heroes of Division One with his off spin this season, and they now bat deep, with Phil Cockburn in particular leading a solid middle order.

Tish start favourites for this one.
