KILGETTY FC have been boosted by some badly needed funds for their Under 7 and 8 sides.

Local businessman Andrew Broomhall, of Pembrokeshire Laundry Services, has presented a generous cheque of £400 to Kilgetty coach Lukas Gamble, to go towards funds for new kit for the two teams.

With reference to his donation Mr Broomhall said: "It was a no brainer - these youngsters are in need of support.

"However, we do have two teams to kit out and we do need more help. If anyone else would like to help please send any other donations to Lukas Gamble at Kilgetty Football Club".

Local parents have recently formed two new football teams for local children from Kilgetty, Saundersfoot and surrounding areas. Uptake has been very good and orgainsers have registered both the under 8s and 7s team with the Pembrokeshire League for the coming season. Several of the parents have enrolled on the FA Wales Football Leaders Award in order to assist Lucas with ongoing training.

Lucas said: "It is essential to get the correct grounding when coaching young players and it is very pleasing that several parents have put themselves forward for the FA Wales Football Leaders Award in order to assist in their children's development."

If any other parents are interested in enrolling on to the FA Wales Football Leaders Award, or if they would like their children to get involved with either of the new teams please contact Lucas by email on lukas@lukasgamble.com or give him a call on 07870163378.
