THE Manderwood Pembrokeshire Football League gets underway tonight with a full list of Division One fixtures.

Champions Hakin United will open their defence against Herbrandston, just weeks after the pair met in the Joe Lennon Memorial Cup final, a game The Vikings won 3-0.

One of the most tasty clashes will come at the Pavilion Ground, with West Dragons hosting local rivals Merlins Bridge. The teams played in the Eddie Merry Memorial Cup earlier this month, with The Wizards winning a feisty game 4-1.

Goodwick United will host Clarbeston Road in a repeat of last Friday's John Bailey Memorial Cup, and The Phoenix Boys will be braced for a tough test from the newly promoted boys, who took them to penalties just four days ago after a 1-1 draw.

There will be an intense clash to start the season at Monkton Lane, with Monkton Swifts against arch rivals Pennar Robins.

Again, these sides have already met in pre season, with The Swifts winning 2-0 in the Weaver Callan Cup final.

Narberth and Carew are another two sides to have played this summer, drawing 2-2 in the Bluestone Foundation League. They meet again at Jesse Road tonight.

There is a derby at the Neyland Athletic Ground, with The Nomads welcoming Milford United. Both will be eager to improve on last season's campaign, with The Robins only surviving relegation on the final night of the campaign.

At Windmill Lane, Angle welcome Lamphey in what promises to be a tight contest. The Stags had an impressive first season in the top flight last time out, but Angle themselves have proved tough to beat since reaching Division One.

Kick offs will be from 6-6.15pm.
