FOUR teams are protecting 100% records going into the final set of midweek Division fixtures tonight – before we return to regular Saturday action this weekend.

Current champions Hakin United will look to make it nine points from nine when they host Lamphey at The Obs.

The Vikings did struggle somewhat to put away Milford United last week, eventually winning 2-0 at Marble Hall, and will be tested tonight by a Lamphey side that got off the mark with a 2-1 home win against Narberth last time out.

Carew and Pennar Robins have had contrasting starts – with The Rooks also looking to make it three wins from three when the pair meet at The Recreation Ground.

Wins over Narberth and Monkton Swifts have given them a flying start, while The Robins are still seeking their first point and indeed, first goal of the campaign.

Neyland are actually the early league leaders on goal difference after thumping wins over Milford United (4-0) and Herbrandston (6-0), but tonight comes their sternest test yet at home to Merlins Bridge.

The Wizards have had two tough fixtures to start, winning at West Dragons before last week’s 1-1 draw with Goodwick, and even at this stage, will not want to drop any further points as they look to mount a title challenge.

It has been a rock solid start opening Angle, whose 2-0 win at Pennar last time out cemented their 100% start.

And they will fancy their chances of maintaining their status as one of the unlikely pace setters again tonight, at home to a Monkton side who have endured an up and down start, winning 5-0 away to The Robins in their derby clash, before losing 4-2 at Carew.

West Dragons and Goodwick United meet at The Pavilion.

The Dragons bounced back to their opening defeat to The Bridge by emphatically winning 5-1 at Clarbeston Road, but it will be interesting to see if another energy sapping 90 minutes in the Bluestone Foundation League final on Friday will affect them.

Goodwick lie on four points after also beating Clarbie before that draw with Bridge, and will need overcome a few injury problems to notch a second victory here.

The afore-mentioned Clarbie have been better than the early table suggests, pushing the Phoenix Boys all the way before going down 2-1 in that clash at Phoenix Park, and they wasted a host of first half chances before being hammered by The Dragons.

But they have key men missing and will be anxious to get off the mark tonight when they host a Narberth side also on zero points, after defeats against Carew and Lamphey.

Both will know the importance of a first win tonight.

And two other sides looking to avoid getting stuck in an early rut are Herbrandston and Milford United, who have both come away with nothing from games with Hakin and Neyland.

They meet in Herbie it what already looks an important game.
