MILFORD Haven Karate Club instructor Kevin John will take on the best in the world at the IKU World Karate Championships in Ireland this month.
At the Championships, which commence from Friday, October 20th, in Kilkenny, Kevin will represent Karate Wales in his biggest event to date.
“It’s the pinnacle of every sport karateka career - to fight at the highest level there is and be part of a huge Welsh team,” he said.
“I have taken this so seriously and have been travelling around Wales over the past few months to get the best training and coaching that’s out there.
“I’m feeling confident and sharp, and who knows what could happen on the day. To win a medal would be the ultimate.”
Kevin added he wanted to thank all the members from the Milford Haven club who had helped raise sponsorship funds in order to assist with his training for the elite event.
