TWO of Hakin United’s brightest young talents will represent the Wales Colleges Under 18 team at the international Roma Caput Mundi tournament in Italy in 2018 - and have been backed by local businesses as a result.

Ben Fawcett and Jack Wilson, both of whom have become first team regulars for The Vikings in their debut season of senior football, have been picked in the 18 man squad that will travel to Italy.

Other teams involved in the tournament are Greece, Malta, Romania, Albania, Italy and Lazio.

The pair would like to thank Milford Haven businesses who have generously sponsored them for the trip to Rome. Ben has been sponsored by Todaro’s Hair and Beauty Salon - and Jack has received support from JSI Timber Frame Limited.

Recently the pair played for Welsh Colleges Under 18s against Australia Under 19s, and there is a friendly linedup against England Under 18s before the duo embark on a fantastic trip to Rome, Italy.

Wilson and Fawcett were part of Hakin’s Under 16 side that beat Dafen Welfare 2-0 at Stebonheath Park last April, en route to a domestic treble as they also captured the league title and Pembrokeshire Cup.

And as well as impressing in Division One in this campaign, the two forward players have also been in good form for their Pembrokeshire College side that plays in the ECFA League on Wednesday afternoons.

The tournament’s opening ceremony takes place on Friday, March 30, and finishes on Monday, April 2.

The competition takes place in the sport centre named ‘La Broghesiana’ - with eight football fields in natural and synthetic grass. The complex is used by the Italian national team.
