Manderwood Pembrokeshire League Division One:

West Dragons 0-2 Lamphey

LAMPHEY grabbed two first half goals and kept a clean sheet to secure three precious points at West Dragons.

The game was switched to The Dragons’ second team pitch at the Pavilion Ground, due to the first team still holding water.

The visitors struck early when Billy Davies slotted home from close range, and midway through the second period grabbed a second goal.

Dragons’ keeper Ben Henton fumbled a free kick in the box, and centre back Jansen Parsley reacted quickest to bundle the ball into the net.

There were no further goals in the second period as The Stags held out - and the club have now announced that Dai Stanley has taken over as manager, and he’ll be pleased he got his side off to a winning start.

However, matters got worse for The Dragons as on Sunday, Chris Edwards stepped down as manager due to work commitments, and Lee Palmer has stepped in for the remainder of the season.

He is The Dragons’ fourth manager this season.
