All Pembrokeshire Football League junior and senior matches scheduled for Saturday have been called off due to zero temperatures and heavy snowfall that has hit the county.

As the Beast from the East and Storm Emma combined it has caused chaos in the county, the Pembrokeshire Football League have taken early action by calling off all league games for tomorrow.

Pembrokeshire Football League secretary, Brian Hawkins said: “Due to the extreme weather, Pembrokeshire League have taken an unprecedented decision and have decided to postpone all mini, junior and senior fixtures in the Pembrokeshire League tomorrow.

“Obviously the safety of all involved with Pembrokeshire football is paramount and with the forecast predicting low temperatures tomorrow and snow possibly continuing we think it will be inevitable that all games will be postponed.

“We have made an early decision as with the roads in Pembrokeshire being treacherous it is unfair to make people travel in such conditions.

Please stay safe during this period and hopefully we will get back to some normality next week.

“All Senior games for March 3 will now be scheduled for March 10.”
