Pembroke County Cricket Club Division One: Johnston (75 all out) lost to Llangwm (80-1)

Opener Will Beresford was in no mood to hang around as Llangwm made light work of Johnston at Glebelands.

With his side chasing 76 to win, Beresford crashed six fours and a maximum in his 41 not out, as the visitors reached their total in only 12 overs.

The win was set up by a five wicket haul (5-32) from Ollie Davies, who took the scalp of Johnston opener and skipper Steve James, who top scored with 21.

By that point the home side had already lost Gino Cleal (0) and Chris Goodridge (8) to Noah Davies as he took 2-13 in seven overs, and Liam (13) and Gary James (14) were the only middle and lower order batsmen in double figures as alongside the Davies boys, Luke Brock helped wrap things up with 3-13.

Noah Davies and Beresford then put on 68 for the first wicket before the former was caught by Steve James off namesake Nathan for 32 (seven fours), but new batsmen James Venables did not need to face a ball as Beresford finished matters with a six off the same bowler, ensuring an extra bonus point as his team reached 80.
