There has been plenty going on Haverfordwest County as they prepare to get their pre-season fixtures underway at the Conygar Bridge Meadow on Saturday.

The club has confirmed the return of Wayne Jones to the coaching set up after a stint with Aberystwyth Town.

Jones will act as first team coach and work with manager Sean Cresser, his assistant Tim Hicks who will also continue to play, and Mickey Ellis.

"I'm very thankful to given the opportunity to re-join Haverfordwest for the season ahead," he said.

"And I'm looking forward to working with the management staff and the players to achieve our targets."

Another to return to the Meadow is left back Antonio Facciuto, who last season played alongside new signing Lee Trundle in the promotion-winning Llanelli side.

Creative midfielder Elliot Thomas, a Welsh Futsal international, has also signed along with youngsters Ben Fawcett and Jack Walker - who both so important to Hakin United's double winning 2017/18 season in the Pembrokeshire League.

This Saturday the Bluebirds host Trefelin BGC in a game which will see the much-awaited debuts of Trundle and co, and kicks off 2.30pm.

Trefelin, from the Welsh League Division Two, have made rapid progress in recent seasons, dramatically winning last season's Welsh League Cup.

The following Wednesday, July 25th, Haverfordwest host West Wales Intermediate Cup winners Goodwick United, before another home game three days later to Welsh Premier side Aberystwyth.
