Senior Cup Round 1: Saundersfoot Sports 5-3 Milford United

SAUNDERSFOOT Sports booked a home tie with Hundleton after a good first half display against Milford United - which set the tone for a high-scoring victory.

The Sports scored four unanswered goals in a dominant first half display.

Geoff Marsh slotted home the opener on 15 minutes - and ten minutes later Richard Cope also scored with a bullet header.

George Wilkins profited from a Richard Cope free-kick fumbled by Robins’ keeper Jack Nicholas for the third, and Chris Milward was on target with the fourth on 40 minutes, following excellent link-up play again with Cope.

For The Robins, Ashley Mathias went close with a free kick but home keeper Sam Franklin was equal to it.

After the break Lewys Tee did pull one back, but the Sports hit back with a cool finish by Ryan Howells, the latter getting on the end of Nick Cope’s pass.

Back came Milford again though and Tee grabbed his second of the game, and then Jason Hicks added a late third for the visitors, before Liam parr was twice denied by smart saves by Franklin

But it was Saundersfoot who deservedly went through.
