Work on new stand underway
Groundwork is underway for the installation of the new stand. It will be put in place this week, and will be ready for the new season. This will bring the seating capacity of the stadium up to the 1,000 required by UEFA for entry into European competitions, and will keep the Bridge Meadow in the top tier of grounds in the Welsh Premier League. Further work is planned on the stadium, with improvements to the existing dug outs high in the agenda.

Jamie signs on dotted line
Bluebirds’ manager Derek Brazil has announced the signing of former Barry Town captain Jamie Bradford. The combative midfield player has had Welsh League experience with Llanelli, in the 2004-05 season, having previously been on the books of Exeter City.

“I’m proud that Jamie has decided to sign for us,” Brazil said. “He is a quality player who never gives less than 100%.”

Brazil mentioned that he has been looking at other players for the coming season.

Pre-season training
The club’s Pembrokeshire football league division one manager Derek Roberts has just announced this week that his squad is starting pre-season training. Anyone interested in joining the Bluebirds is urged to attend.

MacWhirter trials
Haverfordwest County is holding trials for their MacWhirter youth team over the next two weeks. Training starts on Thursday, July 9th, at 6pm at the Bridge Meadow. Players need to be over 16, but under 19 on August 31st, to be eligible to play. Any player interested should arrive at the ground at 5.45pm to register.
