WALES Women maintained their unbeaten start to World Cup qualifying with a 1-0 victory in Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Kayleigh Green scored the winner for Wales to stay top of Group 1 with 10 points from four games.

But Jayne Ludlow's side had a late save from goalkeeper Laura O'Sullivan to thank for a hard-fought win.

The omens were positive for Wales before kick-off with the game being staged in Zenica, the Bosnian city where Chris Coleman's side secured qualification for Euro 2016.

Wales were denied a first half penalty when Rachel Rowe was brought down and Jess Fishlock also went close before the break.

But Yeovil forward Green fired Wales ahead after 58 minutes with a crisp finish past home goalkeeper Almina Hodzix.

Bosnia had the perfect opportunity to equalise when Alma Kameric was fouled six minutes from time.

But O'Sullivan, who had made several fine stops to preserve Wales' lead, kept out Milena Nikolic's spot-kick.

Wales are four points ahead of England, who have two games in hand and play Kazakhstan on Tuesday night.
