THE Haverfordwest Film Society is showing The Officer's Ward (15) at the Merlin Theatre, Pembrokeshire College, today (Thursday) at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £4.

A whole month before Valentines Day, romance is in the air as the Narberth Festival of Love comes to the Queens Hall on Saturday.

With St. Dynwyn's Day just around the corner, its the perfect time to do something special for ourselves, loved ones, friends, family and the planet.

Also at the Queens Hall on Saturday, it's the Celtic Blue Rock/Tidy Like Records Benefit Gig.

This promises to be a fantastic fun filled fundraiser, guaranteed to give you a new year workout, with stalls, circus acts, interactive film footage and seven diverse bands from all over Wales.

You'll get the energy of Milford punksters Penny Sows, the pixiesque passion of Cwmamman's Huckabees, the delightful touch of Cardiff's Halflight, some acupunkture from debutantes Not The Only Clown In The Village, the power machine that is Persona B, indie giants Supergene and dubstars, the irresistible Powersteppers.

The event is raising money for the Celtic Blue Rock Community Arts Festival and Tidy Like Records, both supporting, developing and showcasing west Wales music.
