THE eccentric Parish Council of Dibley will once again be muddling through village business on a local stage as the Cilgerran Players present two episodes from The Vicar of Dibley on July 12 and 13.

‘Winter’ sees a chaotic and in the end all too realistic nativity play acted out by the game but dramatically challenged parish councillors.

In ‘Summer’ Geraldine and her acolytes fight, in unorthodox manner, local government plans to flood Dibley in order to build a reservoir.

The audience will be seated round tables, with refreshments provided in the interval. Dates are Thursday, July 12 and Friday, July 13 at 7.30pm in Cilgerran Village Hall.

Tickets at £7 are on sale in the village shop. Telephone reservations and enquiries on 01239 615909.

This production is dedicated to the late incomparable Emma Chambers, who played Alice to such glorious comic effect in the original TV series.
