CRITICALLY-acclaimed CC Smugglers will be travelling to the coast of West Wales this summer to perform in the backyard of Pembrokeshire microbrewery Bluestone Brewing Company.

This August Bank Holiday, Bluestone will be welcoming the CC Smugglers to play live on their stage.

The CC Smugglers have previously performed at Glastonbury, Isle of Wight, Bestival, Latitude and many more and are now heading west or a huge Bank Holiday bash.

“Great live - just brilliant,” says Bob Harris of BBC Radio2, while Cerys Matthews of BBC6 Music describes them as “the best live band on the scene at the moment.”

Good times music inspired by American and world folk, swing, jazz and blues, the CC Smugglers have developed a reputation for unique original compositions and red hot live shows.

CC Smugglers are selling out venues in their own right, and stealing the headlines at the Cambridge, Cornbury and Glastonbury Festivals.

They’ve also been playing further afield at some of Europe’s biggest festivals including sharing the bill with Bruce Springsteen at the prestigious Werchter Festival in Belgium followed by dates in The Netherlands, Germany, Czech Republic and more.

Their rapid rise has elicited critical plaudits from the Sunday Times culture section and bluesman Seasick Steve, as well as music guru Bob Harris.

Bluestone is a family-run microbrewery based on a working farm in Pembrokeshire. Quickly becoming a popular music venue, it hosts up to eight events throughout the summer and is attracting big crowds.

Last summer, the undisputed king of Congolese Music, Kanda Bongo Man, performed at a sell-out gig at the brewery. More than 450 people showed up to dance the night away to his African beats, under the stars at this unique open air venue.

The venue offers a well-stocked bar, with beer direct from the brewery, a local caterer and an atmosphere that is hard to beat.

Tickets for the event on Sunday, August 26 are £12.50 and are available online at www.bluestonebrewing.co.uk
