SOLANA will be performing at Small World Theatre, Cardigan with support from Move On Ups very own DJ Mr A

Since their formation in Valencia in 2012, original fusion project Solana has been enchanting listeners with its rhythmically complex and harmonically rich sound inspired by folk traditions from around the world.

Taking influence from such diverse greats as Tigran Hamasyan, Kíla, Vicente Amigo and Dhafer Youssef, Solana’s sound is rhythmically complex and harmonically rich.

Tamsin (flute/accordion) and Rowen (violin) weave together folk and klezmer inspired melodies. Elio’s Latin, African and reggae influenced drumming and JP’s flamenco guitar are locked together by Henry’s dynamic basslines.

The band will be right at home playing to a lively crowd!

When not playing music, the members of Solana can be found making chutney, cycling long distance and correcting people who mispronounce “paella”.

The gig takes place on Saturday, September 1 at 8pm and tickets available at smallworld.org.uk
