JOIN Theatr Mwldan on Wednesday, December 5 (7pm) for a magical, romantic evening as ‘The King & I’ is screened in Cardigan from the London Palladium.

Making their West End debuts are the original Broadway stars; reprising her Tony Award-winning performance as ‘Broadway musical’s undisputed Queen’ (The Sunday Times), Kelli O’Hara (Anna), and Tony and Oscar nominee Ken Watanabe (The King).

Set in 1860's Bangkok, the musical tells the story of the unconventional and tempestuous relationship that develops between the King of Siam and Anna, a British schoolteacher whom the modernist King, in an imperialistic world, brings to Siam to teach his many wives and children.

With one of the finest scores ever written, familiar songs include Whistle a Happy Tune, Getting to Know You and Shall We Dance.

Featuring a company of more than 50 world-class performers, The King and I is a testament to the lavish heritage of gloriously romantic musical theatre.

“London's theatrical event of 2018,” says the Daily Express, while The Independent writes: “As Anna, Kelli O’Hara, with her gorgeous shimmering soprano and aura of witty, uncloying goodness, reinvigorates The King and I.”

“A provocative blend of bombast and subtlety,” says the Daily Telegraph.

Tickets for The King & I at Mwldan are £13.50 (£12.50) and are available now from Theatr Mwldan’s box office on 01239 621200, online at www.mwldan.co.uk or via the Mwldan app.
