THE chance to help solve a wartime murder mystery and boost the funds of both Tenby and Narberth museums is being offered to sociable sleuths shortly when Harvey’s Players give two performances their World War Two-themed whodunnit, Keep Calm and Carry on at Carew.

They will be at the Giltar Hotel, Tenby, on Friday, February 8 (tickets £25, including a two-course meal) in aid of Tenby Museum and Art Gallery.

And the following day, Saturday, February 9, the players will be performing in aid of Narberth Museum in the museum itself (tickets £15 including buffet supper).

Following the success of last year's popular event, Narberth is delighted to welcome back Harvey's Players .

The year is 1943 and the highlight of Carew's social calendar, the Flower and Produce show is looming.

In a time of rationing and austerity competition has never been keener as allotment holders and gardeners compete in the best homegrown marrow class.

No one is expecting the announcement that a murder has been committed. Help will be needed to solve this heinous crime and guests will be invited to question the gallery of suspects who will mingle with them.

To add an element of friendly competition, there will be a prize for the first person to identify the culprit

Fancy dress is optional but makes the evening so much more authentic – especially since forces sweetheart, Vera Lynn, is expected to make a guest appearance. The festivities start at 7pm.

Tickets for the Narberth performance cost £15 (to include a buffet supper) and can be obtained online at narberthmuseum.co.uk, by emailing info@narberthmuseum.co.uk or ringing 01834 860500. Early booking advised.

Tickets at the Giltar Hotel are £25, which includes a two-course meal, are available at the Tenby Museum on 01834 842809 and at the Giltar Hotel. Booking essential.
