AN evening of Burlesque is coming to Haverfordwest at the start on next month.

HaverHub will be hosting the Mayday Burlesque event on Saturday, June 8.

The evening will feature performers Lilly Laudanum, Foo Foo Labelle, Sisi Shiraz and Betty Blue Eyes, with a best-dressed competition to round it off.

HaverHub event co-ordinator Cicely Blacklaw-Jones said she wanted to do something unusual and glamorous at the community venue.

“The event came together because I was looking over what events we would host this year, and I wanted to put together something fun and glamorous that was a bit unusual around here, and I’m lucky to have a friend with experience in this area so I was able to get some advice and support setting it up,” she said.

Lilly Laudanum is a burlesque performer who claims to make the historical hysterical.

Combining the humor of Carry On films and a heap of Victoriana, her acts poke a cheeky finger at some of history's most prominent figures.

She won the UK crown at the World Burlesque Games in 2015 and has performed her narrative-driven acts all over the UK.

Foo Foo Labelle is an international burlesque performer who uses her extensive experience in dance, circus, clowning, drag and puppetry to create unique and extraordinary acts.

Founder of Cardiff Cabaret Club, choreographer, dance teacher, promoter, producer.

FooFoo has produced over 150 different shows with Cardiff Cabaret Club (formally Burlesque Cardiff) in the last 11 years.
