'THE more the merrier' will be the theme for the annual Christmas Together event at the Pill Social Club, in Milford Haven.

More than 100 people have already signed up for the seasonal project, which provides company for those who would otherwise be on their own on Christmas Day.

Christmas Together was the idea of Cllr Guy Woodham, who wanted to make sure everyone had somewhere to be on what can be a difficult day for those without family or friends to spend time with.

And he hopes to make this year even bigger and better than ever before.

Cllr Woodham said: “The last two years have both been great events, but I’m sure there are ways in which we can make it even better this year and, most importantly, encourage even more people who would otherwise be on their own to attend.”

Last year more than 60 people attended and Cllr Woodham would like to see this figure rise even further.

Guests will enjoy mince pies and mulled wine on arrival, followed by a free Christmas lunch with all the trimmings, and an afternoon of games, carols and fun.

Transport will also be provided for those who can't make it.
