Fformer Withybush FM member Connie Fisher, now a West End star, visited the radio studios at Withybush Hospital last week.

She was there to view the new computer equipment and software bought with a £5,000 grant from Awards for All Wales.

Withybush FM treasurer Hilary Raymond trained Connie in presenting and studio technical work when she first started volunteering at the studios in May 2000.

Connie was also surprised by Jane MacDonald at the hospital studios prior to her appearance on the BBC talent show Star For A Night that same year.

Hilary thanked Connie for taking time from her busy schedule to visit the studios.

Hilary said: "Connie was very impressed with the new equipment and very happy that it allowed us to broadcast 24 hours a day."

She added: "I have known Connie and her family for a long time and she hasn't changed at all. She still has the same lovely personality."

Withybush FM broadcasts in and around the hospital on 87.7FM.

It is staffed entirely by volunteers who give up their free time to put together shows and collect requests from patients.
