MAYOR of Milford Haven Cllr Colin Sharp handed over a cheque to Milford Haven School this week, to help them purchase new sound equipment.
Acting headteacher Beverley Davies said: "We are delighted to receive the £1,000 donation from Milford Haven Town Council.
"We are very appreciative of the council to support our programme of refurbishment of the school stage and facilities.
"Pupils recently involved in the recent production of 'Alice in Wonderland' are also thrilled with the decision.
"They have said performances within our school help boost their confidence and as a consequence help with other subjects.
"Our numbers within our drama club have increased so we are very pleased that improvements to our stage facilities will help us produce performances which have a high quality production.
"Our limited sound system was often an obstacle in the dramatic process as it reduced rehearsal time and impacted on the quality of delivery.
"In addition as a school we feel improved stage facilities will also enable us to offer our facilities to drama and amateur dramatic groups within our local community."
