A YOUNG golfer who was diagnosed and treated for testicular cancer has raised more than £2,000 for charity.

This summer, Milford Haven Golf Club held their annual charity golf day in aid of Clic Sargent - a cancer charity that helps young people during their treatment both financially and emotionally.

It was chosen after club member Matthew Humphreys was diagnosed and treated for testicular cancer.

With help from David Evans, Matthew organised a fantastic and well-supported day, with more than 100 people playing in a four-person Texas Scramble.

Some excellent golf was played on the day with the with the team comprising of Calum Day, Connor Broome, Tom Wood and Josh Lewis taking the honours for the day.

The event was sponsored by generous donations from local businesses, members and friends of the club;

The total amount raised for the charity was £2148.10.
