CAN you help a curious reader find out more about these photos?

A Mercury reader, who now lives in Woolacombe, has shared two images, one taken in Pembroke Dock and one in Johnston, with us, and is looking for more information.

The pictures belonged to her grandmother.

One appears to have been taken in the 1920s, and shows her Uncle Jack (Frederick John James) eight from the right in the front row, wearing a cap.

She believes him to be around 12 in the picture.

"It looks like a church outing perhaps, but I would love to know more," she said.

The second image is captioned on the back at being taken at the Forge in Johnston.

Car dealership Mike Howlin Motors now sits on the site, which was formerly a blacksmith.

Those named in the caption are (an apprentice) RT Williams, LA Williams, J Parcel, and S Williams.
