WITH winter approaching, animal rescue centre Greenacres is appealing for old or unused blankets to help keep dogs warm and cosy.
"Every dog has clean bedding every day and some twice a day, so getting it all washed and dried on wet days is very difficult," said a spokesman for the organisation, which is based in Talbenny near Haverfordwest.
"We are hoping if we can build up a supply it will help us manage this effectively.
"We need fleece type blankets and throws as they are easy to wash and dry.
"If you have any that you no longer need please consider donating them to our animals."
Greenacres cannot accept duvets or pillows.
