NEARLY 900 children with special needs from Pembrokeshire and west Wales are going on free trip to the Pantomime in Swansea on Friday, December 14, thanks to the efforts of one Milford Haven couple.
The outing has been organised by Radio Pembrokeshire’s Jim Hughes, on behalf of Variety the Children’s Charity, (formally the Variety Club of Gt Britain) and his wife Anne.
Jim Hughes has been an International BARKER with Variety for more than 45 years, and the children and carers have been all provided with free tickets to see a special matinee performance of Cinderella, starring Ian H Watkins from Steps, at the Swansea Grand Theatre.

On Saturday, December 15, Father Christmas will be meeting youngsters in his grotto at Value Independence, Charles Street (the old Job Centre building).
From 11am to 3.30pm, enjoy craft, bric a brac and cake stalls, mince pies, and have your picture taken with Santa.
£3 for a photo and a present, or £5 for a family picture.

EVER fancied trying your hand at cheerleading?
Milford Haven Gymnastics Club will be starting a cheerleading squad in the new year.
Anyone of any age is welcome to come along to an open day on Sunday, December 16, from 11am until 1pm to find out more.
Attendance is £10, and there will be stunt displays and information about the sessions which start in January.
"We are looking for all ages, boys, girls and grown-ups too," said Sarah McGillivray, who leads the club.
"No-one is too old to take on a new challenge."

ST KATHARINE and St Peters Church in Milford Haven is holding its annual candlelight festival of Nine Lessons and Carols on Sunday, December 16, at 7pm.

All family activities are free, except visits with Santa, which are £1 each.
